Meet the People Behind Labguru - Eynav Haltzi, Product Manager

Tell us about your background.

My scientific journey began with a Master's degree in Chemistry, where I investigated Perovskite Solar cells and tried to understand their mechanism of action. My research was done as part of Bar-Ilan’s Institute of Nanotechnology  & Advanced Materials and led me down the Analytical Chemistry route.

Following my studies, I worked as an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in chromatography. After this job, I tried multiple roles in different companies – from small startups to big industrial companies – in search of a scientific career that both challenged and motivated me. At this stage, I realized that I craved a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, and that’s what led me to Labguru.

Why did you choose to work at Labguru?

I’ve never worked at a company as dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative as Labguru. My chemistry background together with my adaptability from previous roles prepared me perfectly for a work environment that prioritizes rapid advancement of new technologies and cutting-edge solutions. Labguru also encourages us to think bigger and bolder, providing a constant source of challenge and motivation. I love the way this mindset is embedded into the company culture.

What is your role at Labguru?

I’m a Product Manager, specializing in our Chemistry solution. I oversee development and enhancement of our chemistry functionality, ensuring that it meets and exceeds our customers' needs.

I am so lucky to work with such an excellent team. Each person brings their expertise, creativity, and commitment to excellence. The team - more than any tech - is what makes Labguru the leading laboratory management solution. Together, we work tirelessly to innovate and improve our platform, taking into account the valuable feedback we receive from our users.

What is your favorite thing about your work?

My favorite thing about Labguru is the dynamic, collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and gives us new challenges every day. There is a constant drive to innovate, get creative, and think outside the box – it’s this mindset that keeps us at the forefront of scientific research. As a team, we’re always pushing each other to think, bigger and bolder. Additionally, the company’s cultural focus on collaboration creates a wonderful, supportive atmosphere that allows us to bring better solutions to our customers.

Tell me about a challenge you faced recently at work.

We recently developed a new, non-specific AI tool! Defining the exact structure and function was an exciting challenge, especially when defining the user flow and experience. It was a great opportunity to have productive discussions with our users to understand their needs and preferences. Through several iterations of development, we used the valuable user feedback to refine our tool. This journey not only led to the creation of a promising and exciting AI solution but also reinforced the power of user-centered design and iterative improvement in driving innovation.

Who are you outside of work? What do you like to do?

I am a family person at heart – I love spending as much time as I can with my husband and 3 kids. Of course, close friends are included in this quality time. I also like eating in nice restaurants, watching movies, and solving jigsaw puzzles. I’m a huge fan of fantasy books and movies – my favorite series is the Dragonlance Chronicles!
